Question about 2006 Ford Five Hundred
Front brakes clicking on 2006 Ford 500. Mechanic could find no explanation.
Noises started as a kind of "groan" that we just thought was the suspension, but now the brakes click, but only when we stop slowly. If we stop quickly there's no noise.
Also...There is a busted motor mount...Is this a problem in these cars? It was involved in a minor rear end collision before we bought it, nothing since.
The problem is Bent brake disk's, Replace the brake disks to solve the problem.
Jack up the car, Take wheel off using a 17MM socket then remove the two bolts on rear of calliper then the two bolts on the calliper frame, Move them out of the way then Remove the small clip in one of the wheel nuts you will see it and remove the disk and replace, Do the same for other side and noise will have stopped.
