Have you checked for spark. These are known for bad distributor caps and bad fuel pumps.

Yes sensalbtrfly, if you have no spark from the coil when cranking it could be a problem with the ignition module that is screwed to a heat sink by the coil.

2000 gmc jimmy shut off while driving, replaced fuel pump relay, did not help. checked fuel pump and filter, both seem okay. after disconnecting and reconnecting fuel filter, vehicle started and ran very...

Replace the fuel filter first. When you turn the key on, the fuel pump should run for a few moments, then turn off. If it keeps running, then replace the pump as well. Suggest having the fuel system pressure checked at the engine itself. Hope this helps!

200 GMC Jimmy was hesitating while driving and then completely stopped running. would not restart.

if it is still cranking but not firing the first thing to check is fuel delivery. get a can of starting fluid from parts store and open the air cleaner box. spray fluid into half leading to the motor while someone tries to start the engine. if it fires you may have a bad fuel pump. good luck

Check your fuel regulator on also check your injectors - if you have a CSFI injection system you may want to replace it with a MFI upgrade kit. Trust me. - CSFI sucks

2000 GMC Jimmy wont start. Seems to crank just fine but wont turn over. Sprayed starting fluid in and it didnt chug or do anything but keep cranking so I dont think it is fuel related. Any suggestions?

check for a spark if no spark and no fuel to feed bar for injectors ,then try spare key if that doesnt work then its dealer only to look at immobilisor
