Question about 2003 Mercury Marauder
2003 mercury marauder low mileage.........where's the fuel filter and fuel pump? Car has been stored for 2 1/2 years and the engine is not getting fuel. Fuel maybe gelled or fuel pump is not operating. The engine starts up if starting fluid is sprayed in intake manifold. I need to determine why the engine isn't getting fuel.
hot under the collar
The fuel pump is in the back were the tank is,trace the fuel line from motor to the tank, now the pump may be on top of tank, and it may be elec.So first turn key and see if you can hear the pump.now if you beleve the fuel is gelled, try moving the car back and forth,to hear the fuel in tank, you may want to try some high-octane boost,or see if you can get some racing fuel about 100+ and mix with regular fuel.good luck
