Question about Toyota Tundra
Sounds like a bad battery

Just because a tech is working in a dealership does not mean he is better than a good tech in another shop (though he has more and better information available).
I suspect that you have an electrical connection that is partially making contact (either loose or corroded). Your starter draws more amperage from the battery than any other component. That will cause a bad contact to disconnect, while using other components will not.
You need to begin by checking each connection, beginning at the battery (grounds are just as important as hot leads).Test with a volt meter. Any voltage drop from static battery voltage (volts read directly at the battery terminals) should be investigated. As you get further from the battery you may see a slight drop because each connection and the length of the wire itself will "eat" some power. But the loss should never exceed 1/2 volt. (and that's a lot). Always check the battery after it has been fully charged and load tested to make sure it's good. Any further testing depends on that in order to be accurate. Make sure the starter relay is good and that any fuses and fuse contacts are clean. If the readings you get art normal, test again with the key turned to the start position (keep hands etc clear of the fan and drivebelt when doing that as if it decides to turn, you could get hurt) To understand the starter circuit better, you can buy a chiltons manual ...the wiring diagrams will show you what attaches to what, and, the manual will be useful to solve other future problems.
Any questions about a specific part can be answered if you ask.
Good luck and be patient...Intermittent problems can be a real pain, even if you do this work every day!!!
