Lucas is a product which will thicken the oil and add conditioners.
I would just use regular oil, though, as recommended by the manufacturer.

The rattling noise could be a camshaft bearing that is spun, or some half shell bearing inside the engine.

It could just as easily be a part of your exhaust coming loose.

Without being there to see and hear it, I cannot tell you what it is, exactly.

But, at least you have an understanding of what you're up against.

good luck to you.

Yes both comment is right , running out of oil is bad news , the more posibble cause is the connecting rod bearing damaged . . It better you buy a second hand engine and installed it, it will work out cheaper, good luck

The noise is most likely timing chaine. I personally had a vehicle that jumped time by one tooth so it is possible it did jump time

Sounds like a bad rod bearing, no cure except a rebuild. I assume you do know the difference between spark knock and bearing knock.

Making rattling sound

with bumps it could be shocks, sway bar, engine/transmission mount but more likely an exhaust hanger. if while acclerating then the rattle smooths out it could be just a heat shield on the catalytic converter or muffler. my car had that problem, I used heavy gauge mechanics wire wrapped it tight with pliers and it hasn't made noise since.

I just got the rocker arms changed in my 06 dodge stratus and it is still making a lil noise how long does it take to stop making the noise

If the valve lash is good it should not be making noise. Sounds the mechanic maybe did not get the lash just right. I would ask him to readjust the valve lash or at least check it. The rockers started oil as soon as you started the engine and the oil pressure came up.

Jeep 360 rattle sound at idle in park

it could be a wrist pin, and im not sure if those amc's had hydraulic lifters but sometimes with old lifters when the oil pressure is lower at an idle the lifters arnt filling up all the way so they develope a little valve lash, and when the rpms are raised the oil pressure raises and fills the lifters. you could try chasing the noise down with an automotive stethoscope.

When i try to acclerate the car wont speed up...when i stop to long and try to go again the car stalls and then grinds...there is a continuous rattling noice also

I would first have the fuel pressure checked you may have a clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump. as far as the rattling that could be anything hopefully its not the engine rattling make sure you have oil in the engine and maybe the rattling is a loose heat sheild, good day.

02 navigator, oil light and no pressure, i changed the oil pressure switch. ran good for 5 min and now same problem, bad oil pump?

Does the engine make any noise (knocking, rattling, etc.?) Before you condemn the oil pump, connect a mechanical oil pressure gauge to see what your oil pressure really is. If the mechanical gauge indicates good pressure, then you have an electrical issue somewhere.

Those model lifters are quite notorious for clogging up with hardened oil as they ran a bit hot... my suggestion would be to service all your lifters or replace them up to you and make sure all clearances are correct at tappets and valves :)
Good Luck :)
