My'07 Nissan versa turns over but won't crank. I have power and fuel pump kicks on but still won't crank. What could it be?

If the starter is not engaging it could be a defective starter motor, starter relay, wiring, theft deterent etc. You must determine if there is power to the starter solenoid during cranking to eliminate a wiring problem and determine if the starter is the issue

Only on the 1st cold start of the day the starter 1/2 cranks and kicks out 2 or 3 times before my 5.2L truck cranks over and starts. What is the cause?

The starter is dieing. Bendix inside of it is weak(kicks out) and 1/2 or slow crank is dragging (bearings, armiture)

Ok so I bought a 94 Chrysler concorde... the guy told me you have to turn the key multiple times before it starts...the starter doesn't kick in until basically it wants to...lol he said the ignition...

You may be right. Sometimes a starter test doesn't reveal everything. But before you pull the starter, do this quick test. It should confirm if problem is the starter or the ignition switch. When the car won't crank over, pull the small wire off the starter solenoid (on the starter), and check if it has power when key is held in crank position. You need a helper to hold the key in crank. If the wire has power (use a testlight or meter to check for power), and the starter won't crank, pull the starter off for testing or replacement. But if there is no power on the wire when key is held in crank, then it confirms that power is not being transmitted from the switch to the starter. Not to say for sure it is the switch, could also be another part in the path from switch to solenoid (like the neutral safety switch). But more common for the ignition switch to go out first. Either replace the switch or continue testing your start circuit. Post back with results or for further help. Good luck.

Engine cranks and is getting spark but wont start it kicked back hard enough to break a starter mounting bolt i replaced the crank sensor and starter maount bolt it cranks but still kicks back and will not...

The timing is out . you can check this by getting #1 to TDC, pull the cap off and see where the rotor is pointing. It should be pointing to the # 1 cylinder. Gas engine

Car cranks then an hour later won't crank

Battery or starter. Sometimes the battery will have enough power to activate fuel pump and dash lights but not enough to turn starter.

Cranks real hard like battery is almost dead.

It will crank easier with plugs out because you've got no compression working against it. Take a good look at your cables to make sure they didn't heat up & burn off a few strands. Clean all connections good make sure they are 100%. You may have to have a draw test done on starter, just to see if maybe it's getting worn down. Only other thing that comes to mind is timing. If it's belt, & not too hard to pull cover & double check all marks are aligned, then I would do that.

92 Toronado won't start.

GO TO THE STARTER AND CHECK THE S TERMINAL(SMALL WIRE GOING TO SOLENOID) FOR POWER W/THE KEY IS CRANKED.IF NO POWER THERE THAN THE SECURITY SYSTEM MAY HAVE A PROBLEM.IF YOUR IGNITION KEY HAS A BLACK CHIP IN IT THAT IS FOR THE SECURITY SYSTEM.THE IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER HAS 2 WIRES COMING OFF IT INSIDE THE STEERING COLLUM.THOSE WIRES BREAK QUITE OFTEN,THEN THE STARTER WON'T CRANK

1999 Continental will not start

Does anti-theft light come on for a sec then turn off when you turn on the key or does it flash with key on?
You said that CEL turns off while cranking, does it come back on if you continue to crank after about 8-10 seconds of cranking?
If it does not then your PCM is not seeing a signal from the crankshaft postion sensor. You can try wiggling the harness at the crankshaft postion sensor and see if it will start.
