Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country

2005 Touring states Service Tire System Soon

I have a 2005 Touring T & C van with 132,768 miles, owned only by me. I also have handicapped equipment - 10" lowered floor with a ramp for my W/C that comes out of the floor and other specialized equipment. The Service Tire System is constantly on and is driving me nuts! How do I get rid of it other than going to my dealer and leaving my first-born child there? I am going to the dealer/vendor where I go for all my service on the specialized equipment tomorrow, is there something they can do? I just had my tires rotated hoping that would correct the problem. I believe it started when the accessible equipment guys put on two (used) tires in the rear for me (finances are pretty rough right now). Thanks, Pat

You may have a bad tire pressure sensor in one of the rims and the the service tire system is turning on the warning lamp as a result of not being able to "see" what the tire pressure is in that tire. These are fairly easy to accidentally damage when changing tires [I've done it myself] but they do just fail sometimes also. They are fairly easy to test and any Chrysler dealer or good tire shop should be able to check it out for you.

Warning lights van

that is the tire pressure monitoring system warning light, letting you know that one or more of your tire pressures is lower than spec. Some people have the light come on after service to wheels/tires. Damage to TPMS sensors is common when removing tires from wheels.

My honda odyssey touring does not have a spare tire. We bought this as a brand new car. The first time i had a flat tire we checked everywhere in the car even with AAA service help and we were not able to...

2005 Honda Odyssey TOURING models originally came with Michelin PAX run-flats and eliminated the traditional dough-nut spare. If your van no longer has run-flats (look at the tire size) then your van has already been De-PAX'd...count your lucky stars because PAX tires run about 300 a tire plus!!! If you have been De-PAX'd then you will need a donut spare (T135/80D17) this goes into the spare tire space located behind the 3rd row of seats. this Site has everything you will need for the spare http://www.hondapartworld.com/1534_SPARE-SHJ

2005 Chrysler Town & Country Service tire system soon light coming on after new tires have been put on, pressure checked & tires balanced?

Maybe when you change the tires they remove or broke one or the four sensors located inside the rim or wheel, at the inside of the valve, this sensors transmit the low pressure to the computer, and if one, or all, are removed or damaged, computer will register it at as a low pressure tire

MAP or MAF Sensor Diagram for 2005 Town&Country Touring Van 3.8l.

Yes it has a sensor and they are color coded however I don't think it's called a maf or map sensor that’s a GM name, there would be three wires on it on ground one 5 volts reference and one for connection to the computer to tell the computer how much air flow there is, and the reading would be from 1.5 volts to 4 volts.

Perform Service Light comes on

This is a setting that can be reset to 2000 miles - when it counts down to 0 you get the "Perform Service" alert. I believe if you use the Step function you will see "XX miles to Service" Use the reset button to set this back to 2000.
