I have done this 3 times now. everything else works but will not turn over. Is there a sencor somewere? Help Please

Hello! There is a switch located in the drivers door...Behind the key cylinder...It has two wires...Pink and Light Green/Orange...Visit Radio Shack and buy a 500 ohm resistor 1/2 watt...Connect one end to +12 volts and the other end to the Light Green/Orange wire...This should clear alarm and allow the car to start...You can buy a new switch, but the passenger side will fail (could already be bad)...The alarm system in your vehicle is a major headache to Sebring owners...System is complex and not easily disarmed...If you plan on keeping the car, take it to the dealership and have them remove it permanently...It is worth the money...Saailer

    Sailor,
Thank you for the info. It was not the alarm, I searched and worked to find the problem with the alarm for a week and half. Finally pulled starter and it was the selanoid. I will keep this info tho.

Opening the drivers door doesnt automatically open the passangers door

Some vehicle locking systems allow a single button press to unlock the driver's side door and require a second button press to unlock the passenger side door. Likewise, use of the key to unlock the driver's side door does not automatically unlock the passenger side.

Car alarm preventing car from starting

Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

You can try putting everything back as it was, then lock and unlock the driver's door with the key.
Otherwise you may have to visit the dealer.

I have a 96 vetta and when i tryed to open the car the alarm went off and wont stop... i had to take off the battery cable to shut it up.... every time i try to reconect it... the alarm wont stop...

The reset may work. Try opening your trunk, leave it open, put one key in your driver's door and the other in the ignition (on position) then your buttons on your remote should be able to turn off the car alarm again.

HELP please!! My daughter has a 96 sebring convertible and today she put her key in the door to unlock it and the alarm started going off. It wont stop, have disconnected the positive and negative battery...

Just a quick note once you hook the battery back up try locking it and unlocking it from the drivers door, if that fails you might try the passenger door. I know on some chrysler products you have to lock and lock again to arm and unlock to disarm. I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Joey
