Engine is not firing... Gas was on three of the spark plug heads and tells me it is done very hard for me to believe..

  • Anonymous Jul 08, 2010

I hate to say this, but I think he don't know what hes doing, what needs to be done before any one can say that an engine is done, do a cylinder compression test, that will tell you the condition of the engine, sound more to me like elec., when you say not firing, do you mean the spark plugs are not getting any spark?

  • Kip Koszewski Jul 09, 2010

Yes I will ask for a more detailed diagnosis Friday and supply you with feedback! Also said the engine was burning oil quickly but still had a quart and half left.. I am perplexed...

Thanks and have a great evening...

I have a 2006 STS Cadillac that is no longer recognizing the fob.

Either the fob batteries are low, or the antennae that gets the signal has an issue. Find a local alarm installer / radio installer or auto locksmith. The can test and/or replace the batteries and check the system with a pro grade scan tool computer..

Should the cooling system fluid be changed on a 2006 sts with 20,000 miles?

You should change you hoses about every 3 years. The heat from the engine wears down the rubber. When changing the hoses, that's when you change your coolant. Even with such low mileage, you should change the hoses and coolant. The radiator will drain when changing the hoses, best time. hope this helps

I have a 2006 Cadillac STS. The glove box latch broke, I have a new replacement. How do I release the door, so I can get it to drop down, so that I can get to the screws to remove the panal?

Would like the solution as well. Dealer says it has to be drilled out.
Grabbing the squarish "loop" under the handle down and away using needle nose pliers doesn't unlock the door

Traction control won't disengage.

You can pull the fuse for now. The traction control pump could be faulty or the wheel sensors are dirty and need to be cleaned with brake parts cleaner

Do you mean kilometers to miles ? 1 km = .621 miles
rule of thumb, 100km/hr = 60mph.
80km/hr = 50mph.
