What sensors are bypassed when the cooling fan is put on a fusible link on 89 firebird

I'm not sure I completely understand your question, if youre wiring the cooling fan directly to power (with the fusible link) you'll be bypassing the PCM's output to the fan relay...the PCM uses the Coolant temp sensor (CTS) as an input to determine when to turn the fan on.

I have a 89 firebird cooling fan don't come on I'm

have you check to make sure the cooling fan is working and not seized. this is a common problem with most cars. this is where I would start then go to the relay. the relay is usually mounted on the firewall under the hood and there is a plastic cover that covers a row of relays. don`t remember which one is for the cooling fan though, they may be marked on the underside of the cover.

Fans Not Working

Yes it COULD be a bad relay. But then again, it COULD be a malfunctioning A/C high pressure switch or a bad engine coolant temperature switch, or bad ground circuit, or any of the wiring in-between. If your Camry is equipped with the 2.5L engine, it could also be the radiator cooling fan control amplifier. The system must be properly diagnosed to locate the source of the fault.

2006 bmw 750li, radiator cooling fan not running when engine hot, I have replaced the sensor or switch, in the lower radiator hose with new, fan will not come on still. is there a fuse that might be...

the cooling fan fuse is located in the main fuse panel, location of which should be in your owners manual if you have one if not call the dealer and could be the cooling fan motor itself not working or the cooling fan check the cooling fan if you disconnect the plug on the back of the motor and feed direct power and ground to the terminals of the motor.if the fan starts to work then it is change the cooling fan it is a job for a shop to do as it entails alot parts removal to get to the fan itself

1996 Honda Odyessey engine cooling fans don't come on and engine on and engine temperature tends to go up. it will only come on when the AC is switched on. i do not need to run the AC all the time but i...

Check all fuses first. if the fuses are okay, disconnect the engine cooling fan connector and using jumper wires, connect the fan motor directly to the battery and ground. If the fan still doesn't work, replace it. If the fan does work, its relay may be faulty. Check in the engine compartment fuse box for the cooling fan relays. Try switching the cooling fan relays and see if the engine fan comes on and the a/c condensor fan stops working. If so, the engine cooling fan relay is faulty. If the engine fan still doesn't come on with a good relay, then check the engine temperature switch located at the passenger end of the front cylinder head. It is supposed to switch (have continuity) when the engine temperature reaches 205 deg F. You can remove the switch and put it in a pot of close to boiling water (212 deg F). If it doesn't have continuity at that temperature, it is defective.
