Power steering fluid is checked with a cap with a rod that tells you how low the level is when hot.

The power steering pump has a pulley on it, and is near the alternator.

Adding power steering fluid to a 1999 Buick Regal

The power steering fluid reservoir is located on the passenger side front of the engine, it is roughly square and black plastic with a twist off cap, check level hot and add so fluid is within two lines on the plastic dip stick which is part of the cap of the reservoir.

The power steering isn't working. The reservoir was empty and I added power steering fluid and it still very hard to steer

YOU HAVE A RUPTURE PRESSURE LINE IF YOU HAVE NO POWER STEERING FLUID IN THE POWER STEERING RESERVOIR.LOCATE LEAK THEN BLEED POWER STEERING SYSTEM BY ADDING POWER STEERING TO RESERVOIR.DONT OVER FILL BY FULL COLD MARK ON POWER STEERING DIP STICK.ADD FLUID TO RESERVOIR WAIT A 2 MINUTES.CHECK FLUID LEVEL AGAIN.WHEN POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL STOP DROPPING.START ENGINE LET IT RUN FOR 10 SECONDS.THEN TURN OFF ENGINE CHECK POWER STEERING FLUID ADD FLUID IF FLUID LEVEL DROPS. WHEN FLUID LEVEL STOP DROPPING.SAFELY RAISE SUPPORT VECHICLE FRONT WHEELS.START ENGINE.NOW TURN STEERING WHEEL GENTLY FROM STOP TO STOP MEANING LEFT TO RIGHT DONT HOLD IN POSITION.LET THE STOP TO STOP BE QUICK.CHECK POWER STEERING FLUID AFTER YOU HAVE TURN STEERING WHEEL ABOUT 7 STOP TO STOP.WHEN FLUID LEVEL STOP DROPPING YOU AT HOT MARK ON DIP STICK BLEEDING PROCESS COMPLETE.TURN OFF ENGINE LOWER VECHICLE BACK TO GROUND WAIT ABOUT 5 MINUTES CHECK YOUR FLUID LEVEL.IF FLUID LOOKS LIKE A TAN COLOR.YOUR POWER STEERING SYSTEM FULL OF AIR.TURN OFF VECHICLE LET VECHICLE SET A LONG WHILE TO AIR BUBBLES SETTLE DOWN LOOK FOR LEAKS AROUND POWER STEERING PUMP FRONT SEAL AND CHECK FOR LEAKS AROUND POWER STEERING LINES.

Where is the fuse box located in a 1995 olds 88

Check the left of the steering wheel, under instrument panel, for left fuse panel; additional fuses are located in the relay center, on the far right side below instrument panel.

The Maxi Fuses and Relay can be find underhood.

Also can fin other details in Oldsmobile-Eighty-Eight-Owners-Manual

Hope help with this (remember comment and rated this post).

on the passenger side of the engine. typically a black container about the size of a cereal bowl - has a cap with 'power steering fluid' printed on it. should see fluid within an inch or so of the top when you untwist the cap.

Where is the power steering fluid valve to check the fluid level?

IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, IT IS ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE ENGINE, NEAR THE FIREWALL.(BELOW THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD) I THINK YOU SHOULD CHECK IT WHEN THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING. BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION OF THE RESERVOIR. HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. BEST OF LUCK.PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED.
