Question about Honda Accord
Low on refrigerant? That can be a cause for the compressor to not
engage, if there's no pressure.
The compressor will shut down if the pressure is too high as well. Its
just designed to shut down when there is a change in pressure most
likely yes its low on feon but if its low there has to be a reason why I
would get the system pressure checked.
Other, maybe could sounds like over time it got overloaded, It might be something fried in the line. I would test every wire in the A/C system to find burnt wires and replace them (click for zoom)...
Also, keep in mind that the 90% the A/C clutch not engaging is due to low system charge/pressure. If your leak is bad enough it could lose pressure right after you check / fill it. Make sure you have a full charge, and if not put some dye in it to check for leaks. If there are no leaks, check the A/C pressure switch and circuit.
