Question about 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
You must check for continuity in the line from Fuse No. 18 in the Power Distribution Center, cable color orange.Down to the body control module Pin No. 18. In between you will find two conectors one black just on the bottom part of the Body Control Module, and another white connector. Check line between the fuse panel and the white connector that is located about 4 inches to the left of the BCM. Most surely that line is cut somewhere, maybe it is corroded in the connector terminal.

The original door lock won't fit the door you bought. This could be part of the problem as the locking mechanism is part of the security system and all wires and circuitry must be identical.
That's a tough one.
