Question about 1997 Ford Escort
For 1997 Ford Escort 2.0L MFI SOHC
SPI 4cyl the EGR Valve is located
under hood, center, upper engine area, mounted on top
rear of engine block.

Look for a 3" or 4" wide metal piece with a vacuum tube attached to it.

Battery light is on and battery is not holding the charge because you have at lest one cell damaged

have a look behind the engine near the gear box, between the bulk head and the engine exhaust pipe,,,,you need to get it up on ramps to get at it,,,do you have the radio coad???? as its wise to take off the battery leads however if you do this you will loos the radio coad the starter can be got off without taking off the battery but take grate cear you dont short out the starter power leads,, its the thick whire that bolts to the starter,,
