2002 ford explorer 4.0,the abs light stays on and i was wandering if there is a way to pinpoint the problem?

the first step is to get the code. without the code there is no way to tell if you have a wheel sensor issue or a computer issue. Even with the code your going to need a diagnostic scanner hoked up to the car and the car will need to be driven in order to see if any glitches exist.

Your vehicle is OBD2 compliant and you will need a scanner to access the code. Some auto parts stores will access the code for you free of charge.
