SOURCE: 2000 Ford Taurus - Spare Key Needed

To make another key for it, it has to be done at the dealer because of the security system. You're looking at around $300.00 to have it done. It may be cheaper or more. This is what they charge here in Wash. St. I'm not sure where you're located so call the dealer there and let them know your situation.

SOURCE: The ignition key won't turn.

It sounds as if the lock and tumbler may be bad. In most cases were you can't turn the key its due to the wheel being in a locked postion and jambed up against the lock itself. In this case though with the wheel that does not lock, its leading me to belive that the tumbler came apart in a mid point of turning, hence no lock and no turn.

I've lost my keys to my 2004 Chrysler Sebring. Is there anyway to starty car without it?

No. The key has a chip in it and no other key will work. You have two choices, both are expensive.

First is have your Sebring towed to your dealer, they will look up you VIN and cut two new keys and then program them to your car.

The second (and this may be a little cheaper) is to find a local locksmith in your area, that can cut Chrysler keys, to come to your car, cut two new keys and then program them to your car.

Can't offer an accurate price but I would imaging the dealer cost will be in the $300 range (plus towing). Need to call around and get prices.

Key will not turn in ignition of Chrysler Sebring Convertible

Tim, sounds like tumblers in ignition may be sticking or your keys cut worn out, put key in ignition and hit end of key sharply/some force with a small hammer, wrench, screw driver handle what ever you have, try turning key.
If this dose not do it call a good locksmith, they are cheape then the dealer.

I have a broken key in a 2008 Chrysler Sebring, will not go back to lock position. How do I remove an in-dash cylinder on a 08 Chrysler Sebring (4dr).

please take it to a shop, removal of the air bag is dangerous if you don\'t know what you are doing and it has to be removed then the steering wheel pulled ect.

you can use the sbb key to copy a new one, Before running SBB key programmer, please insert the blank new key into your car keyhole;turn on ignition switch;Insert SBB 16-pin interface into your car OBD2 diagnostic seat. SBB key programmer copies chip according to car model, and it program key not clone key, it only needs to insert SBB. It is easy to do, you can DIY, if you don't know about the knowledge of the car repair, you need call for help of locksmith....
