Check fluid level of hydraulic clutch that would cause this condition if low in fluid or not bled of air.

2005 KIA SORENTO just fixed clutch starter switch and it wont start.Turn key and everything works but will not turn over. A switch on the floor under clutch. What is switch, could it be problem.

I don't know but if the original fault caused a fault code it is possible the code must be cleared before it will start.

Switch under the clutch pedal could be a safety device preventing starting unless the pedal is depressed in common with some other cars of Asian manufacture.

I have 2005 sunfire the clutch pedal got stiff as i pressed harder the pedal went down to the floor the clutch hose has a leak in it now I was wondering why the clutch pedal got still could it be the...

It sounds like it's just a link in the hose i would replace that and bleed your clutch to make sure there's no air in the line and go from there, hopefully this solves your problem

Standard clutch will not start the starter with ignition on but starter is good

it sounds like the safety switch on the clutch pedal is bad up under the dash follow the pedal up and you will find the safety switch check with a ohm meter and see if the switch is working probably will find the switch is bad the switch is closed when the pedal is pushed to the floor when the pedal is depressed the vehicle will not start.

Clutch adjustment

Its either the clutch fluid is wrong or not at the correct levels or it has not been bled correctly.

I have a 96 sunfire & the clutch when depressed stayed depressed down to the floor! Do I have cheap options to fix it or what??

See if the pedal, itself isn't sticking. Next, see if your pedal operates a cable, linkage, or if it is hydraulic and uses a brake line.
(It sounds like a cable is broken)

believe it or not, the floormat on my 2000 Sunfire will sometimes slip forward and hold the clutch pedal down against the floor. It truly feels like a mechanical problem, but simply pull the floormat away and the pedal pops right back up!
