I think that means joint connector, or junction connector. broken lines mean the diagram continues on next page usually, and most of the time the diagram will end on one page at a connector or device.

4 Wheel drive (Manual trans) not engaging

First, IF your vehicle has a true manual-engage for the 4-wheel drive, then you either have a linkage that needs adjusted, or there is a problem inside the transfer-case (ie- broken shift-lever, broken chain, or loose gear, depending on which metod of drive it has (they WERE gear-to-gear, in my 1981 Isuzu, which means no chain to break...)
OR- if your vehicle has the same system of activation on the 4-wheel drive, as the Chevrolets of that era (Isuzu and Chevrolet were together and may still be), it's probably a vacuum problem. See, there is a vacuum-pot that pulls the cable to actuate (lock-in) the front-axle, using vacuum from a line on the transfer-case (vacuum that comes from the engine). IF there is a hole in any of the lines &/or if the vacuum-pot itself has a hole in it, then your 4-wheel drive linkage (on the front-axle) WON'T be pulled-in, so it won't engage, at all. This happened to me in my 2000 ZR2 during a snow-storm! It clicked, but wouldn't engage.
Go online or get a reference-manual from Oreilly's, Autozone, etc. to see how your system is actually actuated.
If it is manually actuated, then look for a linkage or a line that needs adjusted (HOPE it's not inside the case!) or IF it is vacuum actuated, then you can test it by starting the engine and spraying all the lines and the vacuum-pot with WD40 or other aerosol, to see if the engine revs- which will tell you where the problem (leak) is.
Either way, GOOD luck!

What does up to 99MY mean?

Most often seen in, or in reference to a shop manual. This term simply means: :inclusive of all manufactured prior to and in 1999 model year. This term is often in the description of parts of manual volumes. If seeing this in reference to parts or trying to find out what will and won't fit on your particular Landy, always use your vin number. Land rover has in the past made significant changes within the assembly line run of a given model year. Using the VIN/ vehicle identification number when ordering parts, accessories, or paint is the only way to be certain of proper fit/match.

I have 2001 Buick Regal where when the heater/ac is turned on you can hear the fan work but the vent won't open and close.

When you say that the "vent won't open and close" do you mean that the mode control is stuck on defrost - no matter which position you put the switch in? If this is the case, you most likely have a broken vacuum line in your engine compartment. You will find a plastic vacuum line going through your firewall. This line connects to the intake manifold on your engine. I can't tell you exactly where, because the service manual doesn't actually say and also you forgot to mention which engine you have. You will find it if you look for it. The plastic line is most likely broken. This can be fixed by using a small piece of rubber vacuum tubing to "splice" the line back together.

2002 honda odyssey code p1491

DTC P1491 - "EGR Valve Lift Insufficient Detected" is most often caused by a broken vacuum line going to the EGR valve. So I would check all the vaccum lines to be sure they are tight and not broken. Funny thing about vacuum lines, they never break out in the open, always behind or under something. Best way to check them is to remove them one at a time so you don't get mixed up and check them over carefully. If the vacuum lines are good, you will need to check the electronics that operate the EGR system. It is an involved procedure, much too long to include here. Go to the library, in the Reference section, and get the Motors Import Service manual. That has the complete, step by step, procedure for checking the system. Or you can get a DIY subscription to Alldata which also has the complete, step by step, procedure.
