2001 Mercury Marquis is not starting. The "OBD2" connector has no response. No power at fuel pump and no spark. How can i fix this?!?

Try resetting the Inertia switch. It is either in the trunk next to the air-ride control or around the front floor kick-panels. Another area is the Relay box for the ECM. If the ECM is not getting power, you will not have either spark or fuel.

The crankshaft sensor can also cause this problem. If the engine does not know it is cranking, no spark or fuel will be available. You may be able to retrieve a Code for this.

Hello, There is a fuel cutoff switch in the drivers side of the trunk. It is referred to as the Inertia sensor. It will detect an impact and disconnect the power to the fuelpump.

If you look at the drivers side of the carpeted trunk there will be a slot in the carpet or a hole. All you need to do is push on the switch button and the system will reset. If you have air ride the Inertia switch is next to it.

My subs set off my fuel cutoff switch in my car, is there any way to turn it off?

no, but you can bypass it, there is only 2 wires to the cut off switch just hook the 2 wires together and this will bypass the switch.

My 01 mercury grand marguis will not start, it does not get power to the emergency fuel cut off switch or the full pump what should i check , it will start with ether.

Start with the fuel pump relay. Its in a black plastic cover above the left front wheel. There are 3 relays in a row. ECM, fuel and ac cutoff, they are all the same, swap the fuel with the cutoff and see if it starts. These relays go out often.

Car will turn over good, but not start. car is getting fuel.

could be a clogged fuel filter, a clogged fuel sock (inside tank) or bad injectors. Also, try taking the gas cap off and see if it starts. if that's it, you need to replace the cap.
