No its definitly not the cataletic convertor because it just a thing that convertors bad gasses to good gasses so when it comes out the exhaust its not to bad for the air, and dosnt cause as much pullution. you should check the battery if it is old, then needs to be replaced. if its really dirty then clean it the battery post so it has a good connection. or check if any cables are loose. if its not that then it could be your starter it not cranking.

How many o2 sensor are on a 2004 gmc yukon

Hi Charles,

GM products have 4 O2 sensors attached along the exhaust pipes coming off the manifold. Bank 1 is aligned to cylinder 1 on the engine which is the driver's side. Sensor 2 is the one after the convertor (Sensor 1 being the one before the convertor). Link attached for more information.

Oxygen Sensor Locations

I have changed out one of mine; quite easy, but you need a sensor wrench which you can find an any automotive store for around $15.

The part is available readily enough - link attached.

Good luck

I have a 2003 yukon Problem with the GMC Yukon XL

What size engine ? 4.3 L vortex P0300 random misfire code is usually associated with vacuum leaks , but could also be low fuel pressure , plugged fuel filter , fuel pump problem , clogged injectors etc... doing fuel pressure an flow testing would confirm or eliminate that as a problem . Fuel injector balance testing would confirm or eliminate clogged injectors .

Scanned truck and found p0420 1999 gmc yukon

The codes only pertain to the convertors (left and right) and no other parts. The only way to get rid of the codes is to replace the convertors. No sensors are bad.

2002 GMC Yukon front A/C blowing warm air

Here is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for your vehicle for loss of temp control.
File In Section: 01 - HVAC
Bulletin No.: 01-01-39-007
TECHNICAL
Subject:
Loss Of HVAC System Mode and/or Temperature Control

(Reroute Wiring Harness)
Models
1999-2002 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Pickup Models (Silverado and Sierra) 1999-2002 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Utility Models (Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon XL, Denali) 2001 GMC Sierra C3
2002 GMC Sierra Denali
2002 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT
Some customers may comment that they cannot control the HVAC system modes and/or the temperature. These concerns may be intermittent.
Cause
There may be poor terminal contact and/or bent terminals in connectors C206 (RPO C68 automatic HVAC controls) or C296 (RPO C60 manual HVAC controls). Excessive tension on the wires due to the wiring harness being miss routed in the instrument panel carrier may cause these conditions.

If the warranty campaign is over i am sure they can or may have in the system on how to correct the problem.
Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted if you need help on to the repair procedure.

(2002 yukon 90,000 miles) low power, service engine lights jus came on all of a sudden,engine won't rev very weak,whats going on, anyone know? jordon

Hello;
There are several things to check. The first is to pull the codes. Then the diagnostics can be far mopre accurate. Could be the fuel pump, filter, clogged cat convertor, or a number of other things.
Thanks;
