I need to replace the starter on my 1988 subaru gl wagon non turbo five speed and I have no idea where its located.

It will be close to the gearbox bell housing, where it connects to the engine. If I remember correctly (it's been a while) it's on the left side of the engine.

What tuneup should I do at 65000

no tune up needed until 100000 miles. run a couple of fillups of Shell or Chevron premium gas thru it to clean out fuel system and clean engine. Walmart fuel station also have gas additive you can buy with your gas.

Are you using any water as far as driving does the temp gauge go up higher than usual,, as the last one i done was a loose head bolt and wasent tightened up in correct way and 1 was only tightened up twice and they missed 4 left from the rear and allowed the gasket to bypass compression gasses into the coolant system ,which done the same as yours ???.
but pumping up pressure in cooling system is about 20lbs max and the engine compression is more than 110lbs thats why,.,.,.,
Let me know how you go . RON

My head gaskit was burn and I most change it.

DO YOU MEAN YOUR HEAD GASKET HAS BURNT OR BLOWN AND LETTING WATER INTO THE ENGINE.
Or has the gasket blown and engine missing on a cylinder,, and if so does the engine overheat/loosing water/running rough/white smoke out the exhaust pipe when you start up/and how long has it been diong it..
Must know the answers to all of the above so we can give you the correct answers...ASAP.. RON

I have a 2004 bmw 525i after driving for about 50km the alarm comes on telling me the oil level is yet it is at the correct level on dip stick thanks max

3 things it could be
1/ is the oil pump is not getting enough oil
2/ the oil is the wrong type for your car as you should be running 20W 40 SHELL.
3/ You have a OPLS(oil pressure light switch) in the engine and that could be faulty.
SO try No 2 first (drain and refill) then try it on a long run if still playing up then let me know Ron

I have a 1988 it just started over heating water is running on the drives side next to the wheel could u help please . could it be a freezes plug ?

NO your problem is 1 of a few either
Thermostat is sticking ie radiator still cold but engine hot, Or radiator dirty Inside or out,,,Fan belt slipping
But if the water is coming out over the wheel 1/2 way down the side of the engine and not out of the header tank overflow then it could be a leaking CORE plug( called core plug as when engine is cast it has core plugs to let out the sand) and yes could be but they must be BRASS not steel,,but check it 1st lot first
Let me know how you get on .. Ron

Correct firing order/plug wires/distributor cap

If it's the 3.0L V6 Vulcan or Duratec engine the firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The rear bank cylinder head is 1-3 with 1 on the passenger side and 3 on the driver's side. The front bank cylinder head is 4-6 with 4 on the passenger side and 6 on the driver's side.
