Yes,if the timing belt has broken,it is a good chance the valves are bent,but not always,so put the timing belt on,and see if the engine will run o k,if not,then have the head pulled,,This is a interference engine,and the valves will hit the pistons if the belt breaks,or jumps,but I have seen cases where the valves where o k,so go for a timing belt,and put a water pump on it sense the mechanic will be right there at it,and yes,put a new water pump on the engine.
