Question about Ford F
Check for power to the points and the gap is correct ,with distributor off use the starting handle to turn engine over untill the heel of the points hit on a high spot on the distributor cam ,make sure the heel has a spot of grease on it as well as a drip of oil under the rotor arm for the auto ****** advance movement,now with the heel of the points on the lift of the cam gap the points if you dont know the gap`then 15th will work ,also make sure that the points faces are clean and havent been sprayed with wd40 as this will stop the points from working .do this and iam sure it will start then he can do the summer classic vehicle shows and the best of british to him ,i love taking my jag to shows for a good chin wag .any more problems dont hesitate just get back to me ,even rod brakes and whitemetaling the big end bearings as i studied all this at college ,showing my age i guess
