SOURCE: Coolant filling up overflow bottle

You may need to ask AAA to put a radiator pressure tester on the resevoir bottle and pump it up to operating pressure(Pressure cap rating) and see if it over pressurises while it is running at operating temp, rev engine up and down and watch what the testers pressure readings do,it should move up and down in sync with the water pump.If the pressure keeps building i would have to believe that combustion chamber gases are over pressurising your cooling system. Also test the pressure cap is functioning within factory specs.

SOURCE: how to remove 2002 ford taurus radiator

Remove the rad support cover, remove the electric cooling fan and shroud, disconnect the tranny cooler lines, drain the cooling system, remove the upper and lower hoses, remove the rad brackets on top of the rad (one on each side), have someone hold the AC core out of the way and carefully slide the radiator up and out

SOURCE: coolant leak from upper radiator hose where it meets engine

thermistate housing is the place you refer to it fuction is to hold a thermastate to open and close water flow at 150 to 190 degree according to car spectif the thermaste sticks it causes overheating and can blow the thermastate gasget, the tole cost is about 30$ at most for the thermastate and many other things can cause a car to over heat and cause a hose leak and somtimes it is simple to just tighten the hiose clamp at the thrmastate and problem sovled see a water leak causes the radiator to lose presure and thus with out a sealed tight water cooling system the boiling point of water is lower and thus the car over heats when in doubt stop by the local gas station and have a tech take a quick look as it could be simple as the hose clamp difficult as a therm, astate but do not let it go to warp a head gasket as this blown headgasket is what is the end results of running a car to hot

Diagram cooling heating system

If the coolant loss happens when the engine is not running, and there are no external leaks, it has to be going into the engine. And its probably leaking while the engine is running too.
You can burn a large amount of coolant and never see it come out the tailpipe.

I have a 2002 ford taurus and antifreeze is leaking cant tell from where but it is getting all over my belt and causing smoke could this be a simple hose or a water pump im at a loss

Hello! It sounds like the water pump is leaking...But first, inspect your hoses and their clamping points...
if you can observe coolant leaking, running from the center of the rear of the water pump then it's time to replace it see diagram below for bolt torquing sequence...Bolts1-7=18 Ft. Lbs....Bolts 8-12= 89 In. Lbs.

My Ford Taurus 2002 has a blinking engine light. Also, the coolant has a leak. My mechanic says there's a leak of the coolant that is going into the engine. Just to see where the leak is happening he...

well, coolant mixed into your oil is terrible. it breaks down the oil. Before you do anything expensive you could try GM cooling system sealing tabs. Or another off brand from a parts store. GM came out with these tabs when they realized they had weak intake gaskets in there vehicles. They seemed to work rather well. Just because they are a GM product doesn't mean you cant use it in other makes. And change the oil as soon as possible! maybe a couple times.

My car is leaking from behind the water pump, but i know its not the water pump what could the problem be. looks like its leaking rite by the engine block on the passenger side

That is the timing cover gasket. The coolant goes through the timing cover into the block and there is a gasket between the two, and it is a common problem on the taurus.

2002 ford taurus. headlights have problems.only comes on barely visible practically totally dark at night. have to drive with high beams and only one of those is coming on.

Looking at the diagram, I'd say your headlight switch is going bad. This design puts a lot of strain on the switch. Let me know if you have questions.

Water leak from driver side of the motor

Too many items that can leak for me to give an opinion...but, if it's water, not antifreeze it could be condensation from A/C. Coolant is generally green.
How is the cooling system? Is she adding any coolant or is it running low? Last but most obvious, take a careful look and find the source of the leak. If you don't know what it is, you can't fix it!
