Question about 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

1 Answer

We are trying to get to the heater fan in our 2002 trailblazer. When you turn it on the fan makes a noise getting louder the more you turn it up. Went over dirt rocky roads this weekend, hoping something was lodged in the fan. How do you get to the fan?

The blower fan is located behind the glovebox.

I have a 2003 trailblazer and it is making like a loud roaring or suctioning noise what could it be

As you press on the gas, does the sound get louder? If so, replace your fan clutch, very common to go out.

When i turn my heater on (and also the ac) it makes a loud humming noise. as i turn it higher the noise gets louder. I have a 2001 chevy trailblazer.

It is possible that a stray leaf or piece of debris is stuck in the blower fan blades. This is more likely if the noise began suddenly. You will have to access the blower and remove it to inspect the blades. If their isn't an obvious debris problem, the blower fan bearing may be wearing out and getting noisy; although this noise would slowly get worse and worse every day.

There is a noise that my heater makes when the heat is on. The heat still works, but as you turn it up higher , the noise gets louder. What could be causing this?

Probably some leaves or debris in fan cage. remove fan and clean. or it could be a bad fan motor bearing remove and replace.

Hello, I see you have a trailblaber with a knocking noise. It sounds like you have an electric fan clutch issue. Believe it or not your vehicle has an electric fan clutch. It looks just like the older non-electric but if you look on the driver side of the fan shroud that is the wire connector you see. It is an exspensive part just for the clutch but thats exactly what you are describing. It doesn't get louder just fast with rpms. Please rate my answer, Thank you
