Question about 2006 Jaguar S-Type

My 2006 Jaguar S-Type won't start after it was in the garage for 3 days. It gives me an amber light, engine light and then Gearbox Failure and Parkbrake Failure. Any idea?

You need to have a computerised diagnosis done in order to retrieve an error code(s), once you get that code then you can start the troubleshooting.Hope this helps.

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Pulled out fuse # 32 to try to dismantle the parking assist warnings on 2006 XJ8. Now, I am getting amber engine warning light. Is this related?

If you didnt remove the neg term when unplugging this it can throw a A-CODE which is electrical module warning failure.I suggest do a hard reset by unplugging the neg term.for a hour.

My jaguar started flashing the message "failsafe engine mode"

Go to your local garage (anyone) and have them read the OBDII code this will tell you what has caused the problem, cost for this should be minimal £7-10 ask them for all the reported codes you can check them out at http://www.bluejag.co.uk if you wish to find out what they mean.
