The price of the water pump depends on which engine you have in your car. There are three different size engines for a 2005 grand prix. If your not going to do the work yourself, I cant give you an acurate quote as all mechanics charge differently. You'll just have to go to differend mechanics and get some quotes.

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix overheated on the way home from work - had it towed. Water coming from a small black hard plastic line just behind the surpentine tension wheel that looks like it comes from the top...

This was an easy fix take about an hour.
There are 2 black elbows made from same material ashtrays were made from.
You need to remove the belt tensioner--parts is dealer and cost under $20.
Just have to make sure you don't break off pieces into the block.

Water in floorboards 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix

We have the SAME problem. Where it is coming from is PONtiacs great job of engineering
If you remove the Plastic cowel Trim piece that is at the Bottom of the Winshield. from to do this lift the hood and take off the black platic part that is sealed against the windshield from outside. You will see that water runs down the windshield, under this trim part and drops DIRECTLY into the OPEN top of the fan/heater box. the only protection is a Cabin air filter that looks like a flat air clearner.
The water runs thru the heater box and drips from the fan motor.
I built a small mudflap shield under this trim o part to rout the water away from a direct drop onto the Floorboards. What a P.O.S. design. easy fix would have cost PONTIAC about $2 to design something to prevent this
