Van stalls intermittently. When we take it to a garage, they let it idle for an hour and it won't stall. We have already replaced fuel pump.

I changed the plugs and wires along with the oil and filter, changed the air filter as well. i start the van and it runs what seems like worse than before i did the tune up. engine stalls after being on for about a minute, yet while driving it on the road it drives fine. can you help with my problem?

Did they check that the filter was clean if filter is partly chocked itl allow enough for tick over but starv the engine with open thottle

2003 isuzu rodeo idling very rough and stalling intermittently. seems to improve with full gas tank and worsen when nearing empty. recent replaced fuel pump and fuel filter, problem persists

sounds like you have water in the fuel, put in a some dry gas and let it sit over night then drive it the next day to see if it improves

1996 chevy 3500 won't start, fuel pump in tank not working, has no current to fuel pump with ignition turned on. I don't believe there is current to fuel relay when ignition is turned on.

Chck fuel pressure at idle (low voltage) and above idle.
Possible dying fuel pump. Was the filter full of black bits of rubber?

2000 E150 van has jerking during acceleration had new spark plugs, oil change and filters replaced. The van stalled on the highway could not get it to start. Mechanic said could be fuel pump but started...

The mechanics right on tract,If you have a misfire,you would depending on the severity misfire,run rough and stall but restart,within a short time.Because it is a s fuel pump a sufficient amount of pressure is not maintained and at the same time is being consumed ,causes you to hesitate then stall. Your pump being electical and in the tank is being intermittent, a replacement is what you going to need.

Check your EGR valve, check your PCV valve, check your mass airflow sensor and throttle body sensor.

you have a device that controls your idle speed called the idle air control valve. When it gets gummed up your engine may stall. However, the problem sounds more like the fuel pump, it's relay, or its ground. The ground is located on the left frame rail at the rear of the van. sometimes corrosion will cause a bad ground. You have many other sensor that can be bad, or connections to. when you say stall do you mean it will cut off while driving down the road or only when you let off the gas pedal to idle?
