Question about 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cabs

Truck shut off as i approached a red light and now will not restart.have already tried new fuel pump,new batteries,3 injectors ,camshaft sensor. what can i do now

Hello... so I've had my battery changed and new camshaft sensor actuator and 2004 chevy trailblazer is shutting off and reading cylinder 1 misfire

engine misfires can be from ---low fuel pressure--- faulty injectors---faulty injector wires---HT leads touching each other--Leads ---plugs--- air /fuel mixture wrong from leaks in manifold and dash controls hoses--wiring to the cam/crank sensors loose /dirty connections.

check battery connections at battery and starter ends. Check fuel filter, fuel pump relay, or maybe fuel pump is too weak to run engine at speed or under load. Can be coil or igniton module, map sensor, crank/camshaft sensors. Your description is pretty generic, so it possibly could be one of those "search till you find it" type repairs. Keep this in mind: In order for an engine to run it must have three things. Fuel, air, and spark. Air is easy to get. Fuel problems could only be the relay, pump, fuse, injectors. Spark is more hard to get, as you also need spark at the right time. So check igniton last, it gets real costly as you go. Coil, ignition module, any and all sensors ect.

Crank sensor

let vechicle sit for a while could be flooded fuel injectors leaking.when fuel injectors become dirty clogged they will leak when you turn off the engine.see if engine restart if its sits while.if car still dont crank check for spark could be faulty ignition module or crankshaft position sensor and camshaft sensor.have vechicle code scan first before buying new parts.meant to say bad engine coolant temperature sensor will cause no start hot engine and clogged air filter.

Hi my 2006 cadillac cts has error codes po 300 303 305 343 347 368 392 and 496 can u tell me what they are or a website to find out thank u

P0300 is multiple engine misfire detected
P0303 is misfire in cylinder 3
P0305 is misfire in cylinder 5

Try to start truck but battery dies.

check your ground wires. its quite common that they rust off and then that causes a no start. check along the frame by the battery, and starter.

My 98 explorer turns over but will not start. The fuel pump kicks on for half a second, then immediately shuts off. Does anyone know how to go about fixing this?

your truck has two sensors that are in control.There is a camshaft sensor that controls when the fuel injectors open according to camshaft position.If this one is bad the fuel injectors wont open and the engine wont get any fuel.It also has a crankshaft sensor that is in control of allowing spark to the propor spark plug at the right time.If this sensor is bad you will not have any spark to any of the spark plugs.The fuel pump will only run for 2 to 3 seconds unless the motor starts,it is designed that way and it primes the fuel system and brings it up to pressure.(aprox 40 psi )

Fuel Delivery Problem


Although you say the fuel pump is working properly, you still need to ensure that there is actually fuel getting to the rail, and the easiest way to do this is to first of all clamp the fuel return line from the fuel pressure regulator so that the fuel flow back to the tank is restricted. Now try to start the engine. If it starts and runs, or starts and then cuts out after a few seconds, then you need a new fuel pressure regulator.

If the car still won't start then pop the fuel inlet pipe off the fuel rail, hold it in a glass jar or bottle, and then have someone switch on the ignition so the pump primes. You should get a good jet of fuel from the pipe. If not then you need to turn your attentions to the fuel filter and the fuel pump and its built in check valve.

Next you should use a volt meter or a 12v test lamp to check for battery voltage at the fuel injectors. each injector has 2 wires to it, and one of these wires should have battery voltage to it with the ignition switched on. If not then you need to check the injector harness connector for security and condition, and check that none of the wires in the injector harness are nipped or crimped anywhere, and repair as required.

If the voltage is there then you know that the problem is a lack of injector pulse, or too short an injector pulse, and as you have already replaced the ECM twice, I personally would double check the injector wiring and then fit a new camshaft sensor and see if that solves the problem.
