SOURCE: THE A/C BLOWER MOTOR ONLY RUNS ON HIGH SPEED, THE

could be one of two problems either the switch for the fan motor or the motor itself u would need a 12volt test light to check ground one side light and touch the switch connector wires one by one until light comes on this is the main line then turn switch to the 1st speed u should get a light on another wire if switch is working repete for all speed selection if it works then the motor is bad

SOURCE: heat/ac blower motor works on high. intermittent on other speeds.

Check the blower resistor pack - usually located in the heater air ducting in the blower fan airflow. Check for loose connections and open circuit resistors on the unit.
If speed 4 works always, its unlikely to be the blower motor ground connection.

SOURCE: 2005 Chevy Surban blower motor resistor

mine did the same thing. It was the gears breaking off in the resistor. However, the wiring harness and resistor melted inside of the dashboard AND DID NOT trigger the fuse... causing a safety issue. This was this past month. I notified GM and the National Highway Traffic Saftely Administration hotline located in the owners manual. They are not tracking this problem to see about safety recall. If you have this issue, you need to ntify them as well at their toll free number

My fan blower will not work on high speed on my chevy 2005 silverado

if you got heat on all speeds and the blower motor is working properly then you probably need a new HVAC switch.

A/C BLOWER MOTOR rus slow intermitently at all settings

Could be the blower motor, or the resistor.
I would check the voltage at the blower motor first.
The ground circuit goes thru the resistor and controls the speed.

Blower works only in high on my mitsubishi lancer 2000, what is the cause

The "blower motor resister" that slow the motor down to the slower speeds is broken or burnt out. The motor is running at it's default setting of full speed. The resister is usually located on the blower motor housing so it gets lots of air moving over it (it gets hot). It is held on by two or three screws and when you take it out you will see several different sized coils (one for each speed). Hard to get to easy to replace.

2006 silverado 5 speed heat, the high speed is not working. I do have the 4 lower speeds

The switch, high blower speed relay or the wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. The highest setting 5 has no resistor, so the blower runs on high but the high current flow ends up burning up the switch's contact on that setting or the relay and may be the resistor wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. Common would be the switch it self, if the switch is good. Then it's going to be the blower relay or wire leads at the speed resistor by the blower motor under the glove box by the passenger leg compartment. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your Silverado running 100% again soon.

Heater blower only blows on low

This could be a few different things:

1.Check the power and ground connections on your blower motor, corrosion can cause high resistance and a slow blower speed.

2. Check your available voltage at the blower motor on the different settings. it should vary with high supplying 12volts, make sure to do this check with the blower motor still plugged in.

3. Connect the blower to a 12v power source and see if it runs at high speed.

If all else fails i would check your resistor pack, i would not suspect this because when it fails you usually just loose all speeds except for high, but it could happen.

Heater motor will not work on #5, it worked for 5days after resis

First check to make sure the electrical connector on your switch is o.k. if it looks burnt /brown or melted replace your switch, and the connector. If all is well then replace your blower motor, it may be drawing to much current (AMPS). Along with a new resistor block.

Heater fan is SLOW....

check to be sure that nothing has made a nest in your blower motor.. I have found mouse nests, rats nests, and even dead snakes inside the blower motor on these trucks..with all the extra weight inside the blower, the low speeds turn slow and will burn the resistor out quicker.
