Hi, you must mean the a/c compressor to turn the unit on. The condenser is located in front of the radiator and has no switch. You will have a control knob for fan. You should on the right side of the dash and a/c controls have a button to push to start the a/c and a light should come on when pushed to let you know it is on. It takes awhile to cool when it is hot outside. It should be marked a/c or have a snowflake picture on the knob to let you know its the cold knob. Please let me know what you have found. If I am correct, please be kind when rating me. If you still have problems locating it, let me know and I will be here to help you.

Were is the low pressure switch for the ac

thats located on the condenser (in front of the radiator) .. it will be near or on the large (low pressure) pipe as it enters the condenser .. you can suspect it if there is proper refrigerant pressure in the system yet the compressor clutch will not operate ... R134 refrigerant is a small molicule so its hard to keep it from leaking .. if enough leaks out then the low pressure switch will prevent operaton of the clutch ...

2007 passat ac compressor will not engage doesnot have electric clutch plenty of freon fuses good no codes

Check the Aircon pressure switch, try another if possible. Switch located on Aircon condenser behind front bumper. Either a to high or to low pressure in the system will prevent the compressor from engaging. Pressure switches do go faulty at times.

Why my a/c compressor doesnt work when i switch it on and i saw some oil marks in the condenser?

If you have oil on your condenser then more then likely you have a leak in the coil and have lost all of your freon. There is a low pressure switch located at the compressor which will open the contacts with a loss of
freon gas, and shut the unit down to prevent it from burning up the compressor. That year I believe has the R-134A freon in it. You can go down to auto zone and pick up a can with the gauge and hose with it, attach it to the low side fitting, the larger line and add the contents of the can and it will start. Then check the condenser where you saw the oil and try and locate the leak. You can even mix up some liquid soap and water to spray in that area and if it blows bubbles, you will know where the leak is. You will have to have an a/c shop replace or repair your coil. I hope this has given you some direction to follow.

My 1997 Honda Accord 4cyl. condenser fan began to run continuously (even after engine was shut off) after cycling the A/C temp. selector from hot to cold. I disconnect the condenser fan to avoid draining...

Sounds like the AC relay/switch is sticking on sometimes. Locate and swap this relay. Look at your fuse box lids for location or search online for the exact location. You also might have a leak in the ac lines or the AC condenser clutch is not engaging to kick the ac on. You should feel a slight power loss or hear a slight stutter in the engine when pressing your AC switch. This means everything kicked on. It's a millisecond before the ECU realizes this and kicks up the idle to compensate.
