You might need to check the axle/transmission, sounds like something is not locked in place.

Car jolts when accelerating

HAVE YOU THE SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM? I FEEL I HAVE A VERY SIMILAR PROBLEM. WHEN I PUSH THE ACCELERATOR FULL THROTTLE, WHEN THE 3 GEAR PASS TO 4 GEAR I HAVE A VIOLENTLY KICK. BUT IF I DON`T PUSH FULL THROTTLE THE TRANSMISSION FEELS GOOD. IF YOU HAVE A SOLUTION PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I ALL READY CHANGE THE VALVE BODY, ALSO I TRY WITH AN OTHER COMPLETE TRANSMISSION, BUT THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME.

A jolt from the rear of the car when the auto gear box changes in low gear and a noise from the near side rear

jolt from the rear of the car when the auto gear box changes in low gear is a common fault in the older s types. most of the time is a sign of the gear box on its way out. is worth checking gear box oil level and oil quality though. noise from near side rear would probably be the damper rose joint which make a knocking noise when they wear.

Corolla kicks/jolts when shifting gears.

I am trying to understand your problem. Check engine mounts. Have a driver in the car, hood open. Start car, foot on brakes, shift from park to reverse and back again. Shift through all gears, look for unusual engine movements around engine mounts area. Left foot on brakes, press gas in drive and reverse;watch for excessive engine movements. Be careful as you perform these steps. You may also want to check drive axles. Keep me updated.

Prelude 2.2 vti W reg auto automatic tiptronic gearbox slipping

Hi there. Although the Dealer has changed the oil, did they do a 'Stall Test' whilst the gearbox was cold and again when at normal running temperture? If not, that's what they must do firstly. This will identify whether you have a slipping clutch/s. The Honda autobox also includes what is known as accumulators - these control how each clutch is engaged during acceleration. For example, if you are accelerating slighly/smoothly, you want each gear to be engaged gently and smoothly, whereas, when accelerating hard, you need the gear engaged quickly and hard to aviod clutch slippage. Thus, the fact that you are experiencing a hard engagement might mean that an accumulator/s is seized. If that's the case, it will mean that the autobox will need stripping, cleaning and be checked for worn components. Hope this helps, Scottech.

Renault scenic,gear change

hi if the gearlever is all over the place start by checking the remote control rods to the gearbox see if any of the bushes have worn if they are ok check all the mountings that hold the remote assemabley check the rear engine and gearbox mountings if all these check out then the problem is in the selectors in the box if it crunchs when changing down the syncromesh bulk ring has worn and or the complete hub it sounds like the gearbox needs overhauling next check you have no lights out brake lights as well if ok check all the connectors to the lights one at a time start at the back and check for bad grounds on the lights what mileage has it done paul

Want to get it right the first time..

try checking the fluid level in the gearbox, rodeo dont have a dipstick so u have to undo the plug on the side of the gearbox just like a manual gearbox.if the oil is really low i suggest doing a full service on the gearbox, change the oil and filter is ideal for better results.
