Blower suddenly quit working

Hot day yesterday. After driving 3 miles with AC blasting, blower quits. Recharged AC day prior (related?). Still feels like cool air oozing from vents, but no blower. What to do?

The recharge of your a/c system and this is unrelated, could be a bad blower motor or blower motor resistor, have you checked your blower motor fuse? If fuse good, check voltage at blower motor, sit under dash on passenger side, just below dash, you will be able to see it, will have two wire's going to it, only one will have voltage with switch on, if you have voltage replace it, not that hard of a job to do, shop repair time to remove and replace blower motor is .7 tenths of an hour, hope this was very helpful.

Nothing to do with the AC circuit, the problem is in the blower itself - it has failed and most likely you will have to replace it. Since accessing it implies the dismantling of the dash it's better to leave that to a shop.

Solution #2 has a higher probability rate. The resistor pack is actually a fuse that's similar to a rice cooker's thermal fuse. When it reaches it's threshold, it will blow. Soldering a new one is quite tricky, the resistor needs to be cold when you solder the leads to the pcb.

That's not how the Germans design their cars regardless if it were made in Brazil or Mexico. Maybe you're talking about the pre 2000 models which are notorious with it's electrical system. Pulling on it's connectors needs muscle and practical knowledge just to remove them, even experts get busted fingers once in a while.

1 thru 4 on my blower quit working , with 5 the only setting working , then the ac went out, then 5 quit working a few days later. it just quit working while it was on. what could this be?

This is caused by the blower resistor. Under the passenger dash, behind the glove box. Drop the blower motor, 3 screws and 1 electrical plug. Behind that is the blower resistor module. Cost me $31 for a new one and took about 1/2 hour to change.

How many wires are there? Can you check them with a voltmeter.

Blower works sometimes, sometimes it wont. Moving the blower fan switch has no effect. Suddenly, it will work with all fan speeds. Then it quits working again. Nothing.....no vent, A/C, Heat,...

Sounds like the switch,I have had the same happen. Won't work on 1or2 but 3-4 worked fine. The next day 1-2 worked....? With out a meter to check it will be guess work.
