How do I change a serpetine belt on a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville ?

be sure to view the belt diagrahm...locate the tensioner pulley and insert the drive end of your 3/8 drive ratchet into the square slot in the tensioner...move your ratchet clockwise, you should see the belt loosen...then lift off, when replacing with the new belt...install over pulleys...you will need to twist the tensioner pulley with the ratchet to install over the final pulley...release and belt should remain tight...again check the belt diagrahm for belt accuracy before test running...:)

Why would transmission fluid be in my 1995 pontiac bonneville radiator

There should be a cooler inside the radiator for your transmission. On one side of your radiator you should be able to see 2 steel lines going into it. Sometimes the lines inside the radiator rust out and will leak. You will have to replace the rad in order to stop it. You could reroute the lines to an external aftermarket cooler but chances are that you will have to replace the rad in the near future anyway. Hope this helps.

How to change belt on a 98 pontiac bonniville

You are asking how to remove the serpentine belt on your 3800 engine ?
First, I would take several pictures so you know how it goes back on.
1) * You must have a special idle pulley tool. Take you tool and pry the idle pulley enough to remove belt, dispose of old belt.
2) Now place the new belt on the pulleys just as you see in the pictures you took or look at the diagram on the radiator support.
3) Pull the idle pulley again with your tool and put on the belt.
The idle pulley will put the tension in the belt.
Please let me know how it went.

I need a diagram of 1995 Pontiac Bonneville Serpintine belt route. It's not the supercharged model just the 3.8 v 6

If you don't see a diagram under your hood somewhere, just put it around the crank pulley, and go "ribs to ribs, flat to flat" , and work your way around.

There is a tensioner pulley attached to an arm.
Release the tension on the belt by undoing the pulley arm bolt, the belt will have enough slack to slide off the pulleys.
To put it back on, you find the diagram on the radiator guard or under the hood.
