I have to change my oil

What size oi will I need for a 2002 Grand cherokee 4.OL SFI 6 cyl? is it 5/20?

Personally, I'd use 10 W 30 or 40. along with an additive like marvel or lucas. Or, change over to a good synthetic. don't use cheap oils...they generally are paraffin based and cause sludge.

turn the key to the on position and pump th gas pedal 5 times within 6 sec. then turn the key off. wait 10 sce and crank the vehicle. it should reset the light.

2002 jeep grand cherokee, oil pressure guage to the maximum high limit. Oil level okay, Oil change mechanic says common among these cars. I'm still curious what to do. thank you. 6 cyl.


It may be that the oil pressure switch is faulty. Find the oil pressure switch and unplug it and see it it goes to the min. If it does I would suggest getting a new switch. Also, the oil pressure switch wire might be grounded out against the body or the motor somewhere.

Oil just changed and oi pressure guage register high is that a problem


its fine as long as it doesnt drop below the first marker on idle when warm. thats as long as you used manufacturers recomended oil.
