Question about 2003 Mazda Mazda6
The Alternator needs to be replaced. Don't drive it or you will be stranded. Also charge the battery to make sure it is taking charge. Your local auto parts will charge the battery for free. Once the alternator has been replaced the jerking should stop.

It is most likely the alternator not charging the car will not run very good at all if the alternator is not charging.

SOURCE: Jerking on normal acceleration.
You might try a TPS switch. It should set a code but yours did't. The throttle position sensor sets the spark advance and fuel flow to match. The other possibility is the EGR system which also should set a code.
If you have not changed the fuel filter, try that because if you accellerate hard the fuel slooshes to the back of the tank.
In normal driving the contaminents lay on the bottom of the tank.

Sounds like a common problem with the throttle body for our models, especially model years 2001 - 2002, and some 2003's as well but not as many.
Check out: http://www.xemodex.com/
They will rebuild your throttle body (also called ETM) with a digital angle sensor which is superior to stock for $600.
You'll need to get the car checked out first to make sure it's the ETM.

1: Change your fuel filters and bleed the air out of it.
2: Check all rubber hoses for loose hose clamps and
cracks or leaks.
Almost certainly in one or both of the two points above.
