Inspect the fuse panel located in the side of the dash that is accessible when you open the door. I think that it is a 25 amp fuse but am not familiar with the G6

Is rebuilding the air cond. clutch or just buy new one the way to go and which will be cheaper?

Since you said HAVE IT REBUILT & your not doing your
own work

Then go with the new clutch,IF the old compressor DOES
NOT LEAK REFRIGERANT

Cost is subjective & not my area of expertise,I do all my own work
& get discounts on parts

Air cond in 2002 jeep liberty

It is low on coolant and needs to be charged. Go to local autozone and they will set you up with what you need and tell you how to do it. It is very easy to do and if you ask them alot of times they will do it for you....hope this helps and good luck

Where is low port to recharge ac?

Near the firewall you have both air cond pipes coming out. There is a black cap on the larger of the two alum pipes. It is under the air filter housing and should be able to see it without removing the air filter housing. That is the low pressure side.
The high pressure should run along the chassis rail and near the radiator there is another black cap on a smaller alum pipe.
Remember always yes always vacumm the air cond system for at least 3 hours to dry out the air cond system correctly. If you don't if will only work for a short time before playing up again.
Some shops don't do this and wonder why a car keeps coming back for more gas. Good for them bad for customer.

When I turn the air on air cond works for a little while then the air turns hot stays hot until I turn the truck off and restart it.

Sounds like your refrigerant charge is low in the air conditioning. When the charge is low it will freeze up (contrary to normal thinking). When its too cold ( below freezing) your evaporator can freeze up and no air will circulate. The time when your truck is off is probably enough to allow the evaporator to thaw. Just my $.02 worth.

Compresser for air cond wont kick on no digram for fuse panel could be missing fuse

The fuse might be there but its burnt out. Change the fuse/relay and see. if nothing happens then it could be the actual compressor itself that is out.

Hope that helps.

98 Chev pickup air cond problem

1. Have the refridgerant fluid level checked. (Could be low)

2. Have you tried putting it on recirculate? Could be a venting issue.

Other than that it's out of my league.
