You need to have it scanned to find out why the lite is on. it sounds like the torque convertor is not locking/unlocking correctly

Engine vibrating

Are the transmission mounts good also? You can check them with a pry bar and stretch them to see if theyre broken or the rubber in the center is torn, or have an assistant start the vehicle and and put in gear and hold the brake and give it some throttle and observe the mounts under the hood to see if the engine has alot of movement in forward and reverse engagement. Also, check to see if idle is at factory setting. If (TPS)(throttle position sensor) is to low then it WILL also cause a vibration.

Check engine light flashes and the car shimmies, although not as though it's out of alignment.

A flashing ck eng light is an indication that your vehicle is burning way too much gas, enoigh to damage the catalytic converter. Is the shimmy rhythmic, like a constant repeated vibration that increases with acceleration? If so, have your ignition coils checked. You may have a defective one creating a misfire.

I have a 99 malibu with a 3.1L engine. my check engine light came on and then started to blink, after scanning the car with a code reader it showed a PO300, PO113, and P1404. after reseaching the...

the flashing light is telling you the engine is miss firing, not that there is fuel in the exhust a miss fire is the only thing that will cause the light o flash the P0300 is a random misfire so i cant tell you witch cylinder but replace the coils that should take care of it....good luck

Vehicle vibrates under acceleration but when you back off vibration disappears - saab 2.2 tdi

If this happens when acceleration in a straight line, it indicates either a cylinder misfire, in which case the MIL lamp will be lit or, you have worn CV joints at each end of the drive shafts to the driven wheels.

Outer CV wear is usually manifest by a 'rhythmic clicking' on turns under load. Vibration usually is inner CV wear.

Heitation, vibration Check engine light flashes, bad gas or something else

This is likely caused by a engine missfire, this can be due to a failed engine coil, spark plug or fuel injector. Ford has extended warranty on some fuel injectors on the f-150 and expedition you will need to have your local dealer see if you vehicle applies to the recall. Since the check engine lamp is flashing then a code is also stored and will need to be retreived to determine which of the cylinders is missfiring.

I have a 96 Honda Accord...My check engine light is flashing and my engine vibrates the whole car..also it accelerates rough and slow and vibrates even more then when i stop itll cut off..

is it a vtec if so check oil level as if gets low causes problems with the variable valve timing due to low oil pressure which causes poor performance and brings on mil light.
