The fans don't come on when you jump the a/c clutch relay because the fans are controlled by a different relay. Have you put gauges on the a/c system? If the system pressure is too low or too high the compressor won't come on.

AC fuse and relay for 2001 Ford Expedition

Pull a relay out and use paper clip to jump. Usually cross corner. Watch compressor clutch and see if engages when key is turn ahead. Don't start car. If it does good. Now take alligator clips and check relay. Clip each wire to negative and positive battery post. Then clip negative to negative relay pin. And touch positive to correct pin. If it doesn't click do it another relay so you know your doing it right. If determined relay is good. And your compressor clutch did engage when testing it. You are low on freon.

Ac and cruise problem 04 caravan working intermittent also gives codes p0645 and p0582

Had a car with same problem. Was temperature sensor. Do you know how to check relays? And do you know how to use paper clip and jump relay switch in fuse box? You need to jump relay to make sure air compressor is working to fill with freon.

How does the cooling fan run

The engine has to be at a temp level to set the coolant temp switch to on, located on the engine, block or head, depending on the engine. Once the switch is on it connects the circuit to the fan relay in the under hood fuse box, which power in turn travels to the another fan relay box attached to a bracket on the battery. the power is than transferred to one of the 2 fans. You can test by jumping the relay or powering the correct wires to the fan motor. Easiest way in my opinion is to jump the circuit in the fuse box with a paper clip. look at the relay for the relay on. I recall jumping from 85 to 30.

A/C Compressor wont kick on unless jumped in fuse box using a paper clip. Compressor does not kick on with relay in place. Freon levels are between 35-40psi on low and 190-200psi on high side.

Normal pressure with the engine-compressor off is outside air temp. So both gauges would read 70 or 80 or whatever.
When the system is running, normal is 30-50 low and 200-300 high.
One thing that comes to mind to test is the low pressure switch.

Jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

97 Lumina. No 12V at the AC compressor clutch. Fuses ok and Emron relay ok. Any ideas where to look for an open in the circuit? Thanks Sam

Try checking the low pressure and high pressure switches. If one of these are faulty it can keep compressor from working. Take a paper clip and jump the ports on the plug in for the switches and see if the compressor comes on if it does then that switch is bad.
