You will have to remove the door panel, instructions can be obtained via internet, and match it. there should only be one motor for this, but it will be different from side to side

Need to get a wiring diagram. Buy a book and follow the wiring schematic. It should help you out majorly. Can't really work on electrical issues without one.

I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)

Do you have for download a downloadable manual for 1997 chrysler town & country passenger window disassembly guide ?

Jack, most libraries have good repair references. My local library has Mitchell's Repair Data on line, a very good source. So, try there. Also, Haynes or Chilton manuals (I prefer Haynes-more pictures!) if you have to buy a manual. Once you get the panel off, I believe it would be pretty easy to figure out. Been awhile, though, maybe get the guide first.

Passenger side automatic window switch is not working in my 2004 Chevy Aveo. The window is operational from the driver's side master switch but not the passenger side. Im thinking its a fuse or a relay,...

Make sure the window lockout button is not depressed on the master window switch. This will turn off the other switches and not let them control there respective windows.

Power is supplied to all the windows from one fuse and one relay. So if the master switch operates the window than we know the fuses and relays are o.k. We know the master switch will operate the window so that tells us the window motor and ground side of the passenger window motor circuit are also good.

Which leaves us with a bad switch or no power to the switch. The passenger window switch gets its power to operate independently from the master switch window lockout button. When the button is off power is supplied to the passenger switch and allows the passenger to operate the window themselves.

The only thing you need to do is check for power at the passenger switch on the brown wire with orange stripe. If there is power there then you have a bad switch.

Passenger window will not go up i think its

if the fuse was an issue then all the windows would be inop, not just one, the most common fault is the electric motor that runs the window up and down.

Automatic windows stopped working

try replacing the fuses, if it is not the fuse, then you need new window motors, because they are blown.

its most likely the switch on the drivers door.. to checj it remove the door panel and connect a test light to both of the wires that are in the motor plug then operate the switch in both directions if the light turns on in both directions then its the motor..

Rear Passenger Window (Drivers Side) will not go down

Hello, To check to see if its the motor or the switch is simple. Turn the ignition switch on and turn off all noise making things, radio etc. Open your door that has the problem and operate the window switch while you have your ear against the door panel. Listen carefully, you should hear a slight click as you operate the switch. Make sure that the child lock is not on. If you hear it click, the window switch is good and the motor is bad. If it doesn't click, the switch is bad.
If the motor clicks but has no movement you will need to replace it. It comes as an assembly with the regulator. You can not buy the motor separately.
You do not need to take to a dealer for repair but whoever does it needs to know these cars.
I hope this helps.
