It's likely not the fuel filter if runs rough @ idle - there's not much demand for fuel @ idle. Did you replace the spark plugs AND wires? Pretty sure this car doesn't have a rotor. Was the coil pack replaced? Do you have a Check Engine Light on? What is the code (most auto parts stores will check for free)? GL, Td

I doubt it. is it a random cylinder misfire or isolated to certain cylinders? if random, check for vacuum leaks, hook it to a scanner if you have one and check fuel trim. might need some alcohol or nerve medication to get through this one, misfires can be tough.if isolated, suspect fuel injector if plugs and wires are new. might want to check compression on dead holes

Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help.

You indicate that you changed the wires, but nothing of the plugs. Also, you do not say the timing was set. Have you double checked that the right wiresgo to the right plugs & the proper firing order.

If you have not done these, I would suggest you do and get back to me. A new set of wires are not always the solution. You can replace the wires exactly where the last ones were( for instance touching a hot exhaust manifold and you are back to misfiring.

Please get back to me if you have any questions. I can and will help you.

2001 honda odyssey has a p1399 code changed spark plugs and checked coils but still has a rough idle maybe egr valve or ports blocked with carbon

code p 1399 refers to random misfire ===causes --fuel /ignition--MAP sensor---IAC valve ( idle air control valve )
misfires are more from faulty injectors and low fuel pressure than from electronic problems
unless you have been burning lots of oil , the ports will be clean so have the injectors serviced

My 1997 crv is surging when idle

Check the idle air control valve. If not also check any misfire on one of the spark plugs.

Po302

code po302 is a misfire on cylinder #2
there are several things that can cause this, from a loose wire, to a cracked engine block.
First I would check the spark plug leads, and the plug itself, and go from there.

My problem is random misfire on my honda CRV 2001

Check plugs and wires and cap and rotor.
Sounds like you are talking about missing. where it runs normal and idles but hiccoughs sometimes.

I have a misfire and the plugs r white i drive a 2001 honda crv

If someone put the wires on on in the wrong firing order pattern or one or more of the plug wires are bad the engine will misfire. White residue on the plug is probably due to the engine running hotter than normal caused by the misfire. Try replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires.

Intermitent rough idle & slight miss at low speeds

Trying to solve same problem on my 1994 ford Taurus. So as I see it just need to rethink what we did wrong to begin with and we could have put one of the wires on wrong (in wrong placement) or bad conection.

start your cr-v and let idle for 10 or so seconds in park. shut it off and check the fluid with in 30 seconds. if you check the fluid running it will read low and get overfilled. level ground is also important.
