sorry the year of the vehicle is a 1999 saab 9-3 and the fuse that blows is not fuse #2 which is the one for the turn signal, but fuse#22 which is the fuse for the cruise control/dice direction signal

Hello! The wire that is connected to both the right front and right rear turn signal lamp sockets is a Yellow/Gray wire...It carries The flashing +12 volts...The other wire in the lamp connector is Black (ground)...The Yellow/Gray wire is then connected to the DICE via pin# 47...There is a resistive ground on that multiple...Disconnect the DICE connectors...Identify pin#47 (Yellow/Gray)...Remove both right turn signal bulbs...Inspect the socket and connectors for rust and corrosion...Using an ohm meter set on the X1 scale or X10 if your meter does not have X1...Use a large gauge jumper (10 ga.)...Long enough to reach from the DICE to both right turn signal sockets....With one probe on the Yellow/Gray, rear socket...Hold the other probe to ground...Must read zero ohms...Open...

Measure from pin #47 to the right rear Yellow/Gray wire at the socket...Record reading...Leave one probe on pin 47...And the other probe to ground record reading...

Send comment with results..Any questions ...Feel free to ask....................Saailer

Right hand side indicator keeps fusing

does the right hand turn signal keep blowing the fuse. if so, remove one bulb (back) and see if it still happens. if not replace the bulb and remove the other bulb (front). if it still happens it sounds like something in the signal light wiring is shorted. best place to check for shorts and easiest is the connectors itself.

My turn signal fuse blowed got new one now they dont work why

canada or USA, (diffr. laws, different wiring, even DRL up there)
station wagon or NOT?
THE TURNS FUSE BLEW OUT. 2nd time, 3rd,,,?????
that means the circuit is overloaded or shorted.! (prevents fire)
but did it blow a 2nd time, why not say so???

all 4 lamps dead. or stuck on, or flash odd. or what? dim?
does the cluster lamp flash, , in blink or emerg. mode?
wont work , means what, (dead or stuck on or dim)?????
do emergency flashers work? ,dead, stuck on what?
does car drive perfect day or night?
are any other things on car dead, of odd acting?
we see all this , 1st 5 min in a shop, zero here.
ive answered Forenza blinks here, many times.
ever search?

ill now answer by guessing USA non stationwagon and no DRL.
dash box fuse 4 kills blinkers

EF1 (engine fuse) 1 good?
dash fuse 14 and EF1 can kills emerg. flasher

so of Emergancy flash lamps blows fuse 14,(smaller of 2)
then the blinkers are in fact shorted.
does it?
if yes, then find out which side blows the fuse 3.
turns left blow or turns right blows.
so if say turns right blows, F4 fuse.
if true ?remove all bulbs front rear right bulbs.
does the fuse hold now,(means not blown)
then buy new lamps there. problem solved
bulbs can in fact short.
not just blow open.
Tell the full story and all this gets easy.
For sure emergency flash,

My left turn signal works fine, why when I turn the right signal on it blows the fuse.

Remove the right front and rear turn signal bulbs. If it still blows a fuse take it to your mechanic to find / fix the short circuit. If it does not blow the fuse, replace the bulbs. You may of course also replace the bulbs one at a time to narrow it further as to which one.

1987 ford ranger turn signals keep blowing fuses. have changed flasher fuse and switch on column. just keeps blowing?

first thing i guess to understand what is going on here ,is a little back to basics on how turnsignals work , first item you have is power fuse then it's off to flasher module than it goes to the turnsignal switch on colum ,of course anywhere on it way to there the power could got to ground and cause the fuse to trip, now the power depending on Left or right selection , is directed to lights on both front and back of truck, thankfully rangers don't have em on the side) now any place in this pathway the wire could go to ground and blow the fuse, now to troubleshoot and narrow down the area that fault is located , (1) replace fuse with correct size and ck for proper fit in fusebox and start and operate truck for a few minutes DO not use turnsignals, ck fuse is it still good if so go to step 2 if not stop and ck wire conditions in steering colum and switch(2) start truck and try right hand turn signal only verify lights working ,Ok yes/no if not replace fuse and try left side same way, Ok yes /no if right or left side only blows fuses take ALL bulbS OUT of lights and try again , if fuse still blows then look for wire fault on that side of truck if fuse is still good then look carefull at light bulb sockets for rust and powered corrosion (ill bet an 87 has some ) you may need to replace bulb sockets , they do sell em in autoparts stores .

Brack lights wont light up on my 1988 ford ranger we keep blowing fuse and put in new brake switch

If you keep blowing the brake fuse than you have a short in the system. Unplug the brake switch. Install a new fuse. If it did not blow than the problem is after the brake switch. Next unplug the turn signal switch, then plug the stop light switch back in and press the brake pedal. Did the fuse blow. If not than the wiring is good in between the two switches. With the turn signal switch disconnected use a jumper wire in between the light green wire (power from the brake switch) and the orange with light blue wire (power to the right brake lamp). If the fuse blows than there is a short in the right side brake circuit between the plug in and the rear socket assembly. If the fuse does not blow than jump from the light green wire to the Light green with orange wire (power to the left brake lamp). If the fuse blows than the problem is in the left hand brake wiring circuit.

When using the right hand turn signal blows fuse

If there's one thing that gets my shorts in a bunch it's trying to track down a short circuit. I had a 79 Trans Am that did the exact same thing that you described. With out looking at it I would say that there is an exposed wire that causes short circuit. It may be in the turn signal switch, or even somewhere in the steering column.

Buick Century, turn signal stops working replace daytime running bulb and then works fine for a week or two, and then it fails once again! Is there a flash regulator or something else that needs to be...

CHECK TURN SIGNAL FUSE.IF FUSE IS GOOD.TURN SIGNAL IS BAD.IF FUSE IS BLOWN.FIND SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM.BEFORE REPLACING THE FUSE.FOR THE DAY TIME LIGHTS.YOUR LIGHT BULBS IS HALOGEN.WHEN REPLACING THEM YOU HAVE TO WEAR CLEAN GLOVES FREE FROM OIL GREASE OR DIRT.BECAUSE THE BULBS WILL OVER HEAT AND BLOW.YOU CANT TOUCH BULB WITH HANDS.YOUR HAND HAVE OIL IN PORES.SO YOU HAVE TO WEAR CLEAN NEW GLOVES WHEN HANDLING BULBS.

Fuse for trailer right turn signal and brake blows intermittently

abad ground on that tail light unit could affect current load when turn and stop are used simultaneously. Although one side only is affected make sure of good grnd between trailer and tow vehicle. focust on the tail light unit in question. Replace the bulb. though rare, bulbs have been known to be the problem. If the bulb is breaking filiments ck the filiment orientation. filiments last longer in vertical orientation, where horizontal permits vibration to break the heated filiment when brake is applied.. good luck and let me know if This helped or not.
