Recheck radio wiring for loose connections.

    1. check the fuses under the steering column.
    2. check the rheostat. That would be your dimmer switch to the left of your steering wheel.
    3. check for any loose wiring connections that run from your fuse block under your steering column that run to the dash lights.
    4. Check bulbs in dash.

That's the easiest to the hardest. To remove the panel under your steering column remove the 5 bolts holding it in place. Requires metric socket set. 8-10mm. Steps 3 and 4 may require further dismantling. I would highly suggest getting a service manual before removing anything beyond the lower steering panel.
    Good luck

I installed aftermarket radio on toyata corolla 06. everything worked fine except for dash light dont come on and tail lights dont either. checked fuses and none are bad. help plz!!!!

You have probably connected the dash auxiliary wire with a wrong wire on the aftermarket radio. Such scenario should pop a fuse and probably kill the lights. Try disconnecting the radio and see if that solves ur problem. Then u probably need to rewire.

How to install KDC-252U in a 2000 Toyota Tacoma two-door

Check the fuse box in the engine compartment and look for the interior illumination fuse. Before you replace it you will need to unplug the radio harness and check the new unit's memory lead, the switched 12 volt lead, and the Ground wire. Somewhere one or two of these have been either connected incorrectly or the wires were pinched when the dash was reassembled.

Also check the fuse in the new unit's harness and make sure it is ok. Here are the basic power wires in the Tacoma...yellow is 12v constant, red is accessory (turns on with key),and black is ground.
If there is a blue wire, it needs 12 volts when the car is running and the radio is turned on. Check your new unit's wiring diagram for the power antenna or amplifier turn-on lead and connect that to the blue wire.
Good luck

Dash lights dont work

You may have blown some fuses when the short occurred. Check all fuses . Also check any fuse wires that you may find under the dash. These are wires with built in fuse. they are easy to spot if burned out.

No gauge lights after stereo install

You may have pinched a wire in the dash, check the fuse panel, replace the affected fuse, if it blows again immediately you have a wire pinched in the chassis.

I have not heard back from you, did you locate the fuse in the fuse box under the dash? Thanks.

New radio installed - now dash lights don't work

Most factory stereos are wired to the dash dimmer switch. Usually if the dash lights go out after an after market stereo installation, it is because the wire that originally went to the factory stereo is not used for after market stereos. Double check the fuses and ensure the wire that controlled the lights on the factory stereo is not grounding out on something.
