Most likely the video output circuit or the video display has failed, there is no way to know for sure until both are tested by a shop, the only thing u can do about this is have both parts of the DVD unit tested and repaired by an authorized GM electronics repair shop. If i had to guess the problem is the video diaplay has failed, but that is expensive part and guessing with your money here is really poor judgement.

Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa.

There are two possibilities why your Enboy's LCD screen will not show any pictures...

1. Loose or disconnected Video cable
2. Busted LCD screen

If you are able to see any color on the screen like a blue screen or if GPS navigation still works on the screen, you probably have a disconnected video cable and you need to take your truck to the pros and have them reconnect it for a minimal fee.

But if your screen doesn't show any picture at all, you have a busted LCD screen and it needs to be replaced. Either way, you need to have a pro check it out.

I hope its nothing serious. Thanks and have a nice day.

either your connectors need cleaning or maybe a break in the wiring. Is there on spot where both wires come together if so check there. If there is any plugs, pull them apart and clean them with contact cleaner

Why did the speakers in my 2005 envoy suddenly stop working?

Check the wiring harness on the back of the radio to see if it's loose. If you have a Bose system, the amplifier may be going bad.

Can/how do I get sound to play in factory dvd player (2002 Envoy) without using headphones?

If you have an active headphone jack, just plug in some PC speakers. I don't know how best to mount them or what kind of volume you'd get out of them but that would be quick, cheap, and easy.

On my 2004 Gmc Envoy, Heat only comes out on passenger side, still blows cold air on drivers side. Defrost, floor and vents all produce air flow. Rear heater works fine. A/C works fine. Any idea?

Sounds like the driver's side temperature actuator or blend door are defective. Part of the dash needs to be removed to access these parts.

No sound comming from the left side speakers in my 04 Envoy XUV.

first> road vibrations can cause cable connections to come loose so you can start by taking out your radio and making sure all of the questions in the back are connected as they should be.
Second> if this doesnt seem to work then the next step is to check the wires going to the speakers that arnt working (this will b quite a job, but if you can do it, it will save u quite a bit of money) .. checking the wires your checking for >bad connection to the speakers >cuts in the wire or if any part of the wire is touchin any other metal object

Did you try your balance control on the radio? You will find FADE, and BAL. The balance will move the sound from side to side. If thats not it, it sounds as thought one of the harnesses behind the radio came loose. Hope that helps
