Check the clutch on the A/C compressor and then check the vacuum diverter valve. A bad diverter valve would cause it to stop under hard accelleration

Thanks for the prompt response. The compressor clutch seems to work fine. Is the vacuum diverter valve part of the dash control module or a seperate device? If so where would it be located? How would I test it? Thanks, Mike

How do I replace a heater core in a 1992 chevy g20 sports full size van.

I would get a manual that show the location of the bolts that are one the firewall out under the hood, and it will also show what other things have to be removed to get it out. It is under the dash on the Passenger side but there is a lot of things to disconnect out under the hood, Heater hoses and about four nuts or bolts give or take one or two.

2004 Chevy Silverado heater blows cold air. What would cause this problem?

the heat is independant from your ac. look for leaky radiator hoses or heater hoses, radiator cap, coolant

leaks inside your cab under the dashboard on your floor board. if you have non of these problems.

you may have a blocked or stopped up heater core and it will need to be replaced. depending on the

truck some replacements are easy and some hard , trucks and cars vary. good luck!

I have a 97 Chevy Venture Van with a weakening fuel level sensor.

No it's not, if your van is running fine, fuel pump is good, just the fuel gauge sending unit is bad, to repair, the gas tank will have to come off, the sending unit sit on the same hanger the fuel pump is on.

How do i replace heater core

I believe on a 1987 chevy van the heater core should be under the black plastic cover on the firewall on the left hand side as you are standing in front of the van.
I believe you can also get to it under the passenger side dash.
It is NOT fun. Unless you are a seasoned mechanic, I would not attempt it.
Otherwise stop by your local auto center, and get a HAYNES manual, they will be able to show how to.

Chevy Venture Overheating

Almost sounds like the same symptons as my van. Turns out the guage was not the problem. The van was in fact running hot because the electric radiator fans were not kicking in when the engine was hot. I replaced the relay switches for the fans. There are two of these in the fuse panel under the hood. There has been no problem with overheating since
