Does the tv also goes out when the headlight's blow?If so then they need to hook your tv to a differnet circuit, putting a load on that circuit, if tv still work's you have something else going on with your haedlight's, have it checked out soon.

Taillights keep blowing fuse, whatamp fuse does it take ansd is there a common location thatg might be shoreting ikt out

First remove ALL rear bulbs including licence plate bulbs.Re-install fuse.If it still blows install a signal light flasher in series with a sealed beam headlight instead of a fuse and use a magnetic compass to follow the wiring to the short. The compass needle will move until you reach the short. If the fuse did not blow with the bulbs out,re-install one bulb at a time until the fuse blows, that's the bad bulb or socket.

99 Cadillac caters, headlights keep blowing

If the headlights keep blowing, the most common problem is that the regulator on your alternator is faulty and the voltage is too high. If you have a multimeter check the battery voltage with the engine above say 2000 rpm. It should not be more than 14 volts. If it is, go visit your auto electrician to replace or repair your alternator. If you don't have a multimeter, visit your auto electrician and get him to check it.

My wifes 92 883 keeps blowing headlights. First the low beam then the hi-beam. Is it the headlight relay shooting too many amps to the light?

Check the headlight lens for moisture in them, that blows bulbs. Do you touch the bulbs with your fingers when installing them? Don't do that, that blows bulbs. And no to many amps is not possible, but to many volts,is poss, have the charging system tested by a local Autozone or O'reilly auto parts, its is free, it could be to much voltage due to a alternator issue or wiring problems. 99 Grand Cherokee headlights keep popping fuese

The circuit load is much higher with the HID lights, you need to rewire the headlights to a large gauge wire.

98 convertible keeps blowing 40 amp fuse under hoo for headlights. put fuse in and it blows after about 30 seconds. Headlights will work and then fuse blows. fuse will also blow without turning headlights...

Hi, you will need to trace the wire from the fuse to the headlight switch. If you can tell me your model, I may be able to tell you the color of the wire. A common area of concern is the area under the dash where the wires leave the switch. If they are caught in the parking or regular brake mechanism, that can cause a short. You're looking for a spot where the wire is pinched in metal and/or the insulation has stripped from the wire. If you find it, wrap it with electrical tape and tie the wires back from whatever they were caught in.

My headlight fuse keeps blowing. The headlights are good but the fuse keeps blowing. I tested them in bothsides. I tested the fuse with know lightbulb installed and it does not blow the fuse.

Have you tested the amps being drawn with all bulbs in the circuit. This can be done easily by the DIY with an amp gauge and a few feet of wire. compare the result to the fuse amperage.

My headlights (low beam) and my brake lights keep blowing

If you are using halogen bulbs convert to standard incandescent bulbs. As halogen may be brighter, they are susceptible to blowing if they are jarred while they are hot, or if you install them and get fingerprints on them. Fingerprints on halogen bulbs leave a small amount of oil which causes heat irregularities on the surface of the glass and causes them to blow.

2000 honda civic vp keeps blowing low beam fuses left and right.

Fuses nearly always blow because of a bad earth. The switch only needs to short for a moment and the fuse will blow.

See if you can find a replcement swtich from a local breaker's yard or ebay and go on from there.
