Hi! my name is Carlos I Have a Mazda Protege 99

Hi! my name is Carlos I Have a Mazda Protege 99 1.6 on the weekend i changed the 150.000 m. Motor for a 25000+ m. Motor I change the header but everything still the same(except the old header had this electrical sensor K5T46590 & K5T46591). I try to start the engine after install everything else but the starter just push the motor but it do not fire up. i'm wondering if this sensors are the problem?

Check the plugs for spark, pull one out and lay it on a metal part with the wire attached,, crank it over and see if it sparks, if yes, then squirt some fuel in the throttle and see if it fires, narrow it down to something. Check the oil, the electrical sensor in the header is an oxygen sensor, it will not effect the engine, If you don't have a spark, pull the coil pack off the old engine and bolt it on the new one. Check it out.

I believe it is located directly underneath the throttle body intake.

My 99 mazda protege, has 2 codes p0705 and po302 what would cause this and how can it be resolved?


its a cylinder misfire and trans circuit problem--sensors cud be worn or hav connection issue--has plug wires been changed-also coil me be faulty--has trans been serviced with new fluid and filter-shifting soleniods cud be sluggish from dirt

I have a 99 mazda protege, 1.6l engine, automatic transmission. I am changing the CV joints out and I need the torque specification for the axle spindle nut that connects the cv joint to the wheel hub.


hi the torque settings for the hub nuts are 236-318 Nm these are the drive shaft nuts that fit on the end of the shaft on the wheel hub hope that's what you required please rate and vote thanks

no you just need an O2 sensor socket you should be able to get one at your local parts house.
