Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 1500

When driving my 04 ram 1500 (5.7 liter) on the highway at about 65 or better the check engine light comes on and then i get the flashing lightning bolt in the left hand corner? ive been reading forums and also had a mechanic look at it I was told its all electrical but he didnt even take anything of just looked at it. What should I do?

I do not know what the flashing lightning bolt on the left hand corner means, except that reminds me of electrical, but couldn't find a reference to it in my research.

If you have a check engine light, then it probably left a code recorded behind. I would start there.

Ask to have the computer scanned for codes, and this may point in the right direction.

Flashing is usually a misfire. This could be a bad plug, plug wire, or injector. Maybe time for a tune up on that .

1998 dodge ram 1500 5.2. outside air comming


You have broken vent door on your truck.
Remove the glovebox use flash light to check top of the heaterbox area (top of blower motor housing- toward windshiled area) You will see sponge covered vent.door or you just see outside light)
you can get complete repair kit with necessary electrical actuator about 65/75$ but thing is a job,, basically you have to remove almost whole dashboard to replace them correctly.

Where is the throttle position sensor on a


Lightning bolt on dash starts blinking and the freakin truck shuts off on the highway in the center lane. Real nice Dodge. Nice way to kill someone. Any body have aclue what happens to the fbw.

04 dodgebram 1500 hemi stalls some times


Check the throttle body---if it is very dirty it causes the air flow to change and causes stalling --cleaned mine and no problems / also change PCV valve go to hemitruckclub.com and lots of tips and fixes..........
