Anything that looks more or less like this: (0)
has something to do with the brakes.
Broken lines both sides of the circle(instead of the brackets). Worn pads
If there is writing in the middle it can be

  • ! Brake system fault
  • ABS
  • P Parking brake
With a picture of a bulb in the circle that has an X over it. Faulty brake lights.

How do the power steering hoses go on on a 2001 Pontiac Aztek and why is there no circular motion inside the pump

The only squared thing on the pump is the "plastic"
fluid tank... Everything else about the design & function
is "circular".

There is ABSOLUTELY circular "MOTION" inside the PUMP...
PLEASE NOTE... there is a giant pulley on the front..
and the design of the pump is all about rotational force of the hydraulic pump (right THROUGH the middle).

High pressure to the high pressure...
(with a possible cooler option in the middle)
Low pressure back to the reservoir

The snow flake on the dash is it a warning light

There is no snowflake on the instrument cluster if that is where you see the light. there is a gear (circular) with an ! in the middle. If that is on, you have an issue and may be in emergency cooling mode to rpevent engine overheating damage.

Need a better description of symbol and where exactly it is.

Also, check your coolant level.

I have a red warning light on the dash of my landrover disc.

It's the low coolant light. Just find the overflow bottle ( it'll be marked coolant). If it's not low then the sensor that goes to the bottle is bad and may need replacing.

Warning lights on land rover dicovery 1993

A circle with lines around it - depends where it is -
If its a top left light, then it should be a circle with an exclamation mark in the middle, and two lines running part way round the outside (1 to 5pm and 7 - 11pm). Thats the handbrake and brake fluid light which comes on for about 3 seconds when you start the engine ... if it comes on at any other time - seek help.
If its top centre, and has ABS in the middle, then its the anti lock braking light. Similar to above, lights up for a few seconds at start.

Muffler with lines coming off it - are they pointing outwards from the circle, (with a thermometer in the middle = transmission oil temperature guage), or are they on the left and all parallel (which would be main beam indicator, which lights up blue when on)

SEAT TOLEDO WARNING LIGHTS

Could be the motor-management-warning light, but I guess it's the break-warning light. There might be too little breaking-fluid left in the lines ... A boardcomputer-readout should clarify this.

Otherwise, try parking on an ascending road with the nose pointing up, hit the hand-break and wait like 2 minutes; the light should come on. You might wanna retry it with the car's nose pointing downwards as well ... If so, definitely the breaking-fluid, otherwise probably not ;)

In any case - flashing warning light are never ok, so when you see it again and you're sure it's not just the ABS/ESP warning light, go and have your boardcomputer read-out, since it should contain useful errorcodes ..

What does the warning light in my mini cooper mean?

With a jagged line underneath, it sounds like the low tire light. The icon looks like a "U" with a jagged bottom and a "!" in the middle.
