2005 diesel smart car starts then dies after a few seconds. changed pump. fuel filter, pressure sensor, cleaned air intake including turbo. Has good fuel pressure. cleaned injectors, have good spray.

black smoke = excessive fuel = bad injector tips , low injector pressure , turbo not working properly
take the car to an accredited diesel specialist professional for a pump pressure and injector pressure test, injector calibration and tip replacement

My toyota 3C turbo diesel engine the turbo compressor is flooding of oil . I can.t trace where it is coming from That is why I am searching service manual for this turbo charger. 12ct

Hi,

If your turbo housing is getting flooded with oil the it can only come from the shaft seal on the inside of the turbo.

You will need to remove it and replace the shaft seal.

When changing an injector pump on 05 pathfinder r51 2.5 turbo Diesel, how should the timing be set prior to removal.

set the timing to top dead center # 1 cylinder just to be sure, the pump is keyed and you should be able to get it timed with no problem. Be sure to mark the pump with the housing as many pumps turn the pump to get the timing advanced so mark the flange and housing before removeal also before removing the pump be sure to check that it's not the primary pump thats bad, some call this pump the lift pump and is located on the side of the engine. Hope this helps and thanks for using Fix-ya

Rodeo 2006 diesel turbo.loss of power as if little fuel.could it be turbo or injectors

First try replacing the fuel filter and also check the air filter element, if its clogged with dust replace.
After doing all this check the performance of the engine,if its still the same thn time to remove the injector nozzles for service.
The last option would thn be the pump(injector).
Hope this helps!

Ford-F350 7.3 turbo sluggish when you accelerate

i dont know about the turbo going bad,but i do know that ive seen 7.3 diesel have bad injectors, usually 2 at a time, check for fuel at the injector which can get messy so wear protective gear such as goggles and gloves, while running crack open the fuel line at the injector to see if there is fuel,it should run rough which is good on the working cylinders,if it doesnt change then maybe a bad injector,or not enough fuel pressure at that injector.injection pump issues are another thing, but most likely its an injector.

Need the timing marks for a 3.1 td 5 cyl diesel injection pump

isusu engine?? have you looked for a 8mm hole in timing gear that corresponds with a hole on plate behind then lock it in with a bolt ,remove bolt after tightening belt .DONT FORGET THIS ???.....if you cant find anything do it with no timing marks easy --- piston no 1 at tdc valves closed spin pump till fuel comes out of no 1 injector feed and lock it all together, indirect diesel is 6/8 ,,,,,direct injection is 12/16,,,,and turbo is 18/22 btdc
